The ash tray top is subtly curved, yielding to its flat printed state which will naturally conform to the console when securely fastened down. This design accommodates a standard size rocker switch for automotive use, featuring a 22mm x 37mm square hole size. To ensure a snug fit and accommodate variations from switch manufacturers, the switch hole is slightly enlarged to allow for adequate creepage during printing. The screws are cleverly positioned to disappear beneath the area covered by the ash tray, allowing for effortless removal and replacement without visible holes. A dual switch holder has been added to the design, boasting a flatter face that facilitates uniform bending when attached to the console and significantly reduces the STL file size. The dual switch cut-outs are carefully crafted to be slightly tighter, ensuring better alignment of the switches once installed. This innovative design is specifically tailored for use with "Flip" switches from Starcycle.
