Switch Extension

Switch Extension

thingiverse

I got tired of reaching under my desk to flip the switch for my power strip, so I built this switch extender. This consists of two parts: a lever and a switch section. The lever has two hooks that I glued to the power strip plug. The switch is designed to pivot on a #10 wood screw. Thinner screws should work just fine as long as the head is not thinner than .207 inches. I used hemp rope to link the two loops from the lever to the switch. Any string, twine or fishing line can be used; they should be as tight as possible. The parts are printed at a .2mm layer height with PLA.
