I'm tired of constantly unplugging my printer just to turn it off, so I came up with a smarter solution. Instead of drilling holes in the machine to install a manual switch, I created this simple plug-and-play device. It's designed to be mounted on the front of the printer, using the existing holes that are already there. I chose a standard single-pole single-throw switch for this project, paired with a normally closed momentary push button that doubles as a reset function - since the actual reset is located inside the base of the printer. The switch and button can be easily sourced from Radio Shack or other similar stores.
