Switch box for Ender family of 3D printer
thingiverse
When going to install a light on my Ender3, I noticed the only box to mount a light switch had no hole that actually allows you to attach a switch. This is a new design that allows you to mount any switch that requires a 19/32" mounting hole. I have designed two units, one with the mounting lug horizontally and the other vertically in relation to the switch mounting face. That way you can mount the switch where and in the orientation you want. The box is long enough to protect the exposed terminals at the bottom of the switch. There is also a hole set that allows you to use a T-nut to secure the box in the rail using a M4 hex button bolt (and a corresponding hole to allow you to use an allen wrench to tighten said bolt) ----- SAFETY NOTE: PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THE BOLT HEAD DOES NOT MAKE CONTACT WITH ANY OF THE SWITCH TERMINALS - FAILURE TO DO SO MAY CAUSE A SHORT AND POSSIBLY RUIN YOUR PRINTER (I take no responsibility for your failure to follow that basic safety notice)
