Switch Base for Andis Master Model M
thingiverse
This is the power switch base for an Andis Master, Model M, along with possibly other similar models. These early clippers boast a two-position switch designed to handle voltage sags, and this part supports all three contact arms within that switch. After 30 or more years of service, these parts can deform and crack. Given their age, most parts for these clippers are no longer readily available. FFF printing in polycarbonate may yield excellent results but I haven't tested it yet. The material originally used was cotton canvas-base phenolic at a thickness of 0.093 inches (2.36 mm). I've successfully cut G10/F4 glass-reinforced epoxy and this could be done using laser or water-jet cutting methods. FFF printing in polycarbonate should also work very well, but that remains untested for the moment. The chosen material should possess some degree of rigidity, heat-resistance, and electrical soundness.
