Switch Backing Plate
thingiverse
I've got a used Jeep Wrangler with a fog light switch that was installed all wrong by the original owner. Instead of using the factory positions for the auxiliary switch, they hacked into what used to be an ash tray holder. I scored a great deal on the Jeep, but had to swallow their lack of know-how and fix the old switch myself to get one that would also alert me when I left the fog lights on. To do this, I had to repair the poorly constructed switch, which meant I needed some kind of backing plate to hold it in place without damaging the ABS panel. So I came up with a simple solution - a 1mm thick piece (with an extension to prevent warping) that does just that. The photo shows the end result of my fix.
