Switch Anti-theft Safe for Tournaments
thingiverse
I've included a STEP file for the arm, making it easy to modify. I haven't recreated the base, so I don't have a STEP file for that part. This remix of ThatMathsyBardGuy's Switch Safe - Tournament Edition strengthens security by thickening the bottom of the arm and making it sit flush with the base. The arm is also thicker for added security. Optionally, you can expose the headphone jack using the SwitchSafe_ArmHeadphoneExposed (or SwitchSafe_ArmThickHeadphoneExposed if you want a thicker base) file. Check out the images for more details. I made this remix for use at Smash tournaments where extra security is needed for borrowed consoles, rather than leaving them open to pick up and walk away with. I'm also adding an extra layer of security by running the lock through a chain that wraps around my monitor base, then another lock around a table leg with yet another lock. I'm using these locks: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002076L22/?coliid=I1AN4CRG3JX9SD&colid=1TXHSFW6LDDY0&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it. The lock opening is about 8mm in diameter, so any small lock will work.
