Switch Alignment Jig
thingiverse
When building a Simone Giertz's Good Habit Tracker Hackaday.io project, I used a jig to align switches while soldering. The project is located here: https://hackaday.io/project/78869-smaller-simone-giertzs-good-habit-tracker I didn't create this project, but I wanted to fabricate my own boards and designed this tool to assist in switch alignment during the soldering process since I don't have laser-cut plywood scraps like the designer does. Print the jig. Place the switches on the PCB with their actuators facing the same direction. Position the jig over the switches. Hold the jig while flipping the board over, then place it on a table before soldering begins. Solder only one pin for each switch so that if there are any alignment problems (I didn't experience any), you can easily correct them.
With this file you will be able to print Switch Alignment Jig with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Switch Alignment Jig.
