Swiss Militia Halberdiers

Medieval 2 Total War - Machiavello mod | Model for Swiss Militia Halberdiers of the Canton of Uri of the Swiss Confederation. Swiss militias are recruited locally from their home cantons, where they're depicted proudly in their distinctive colors by contemporary artists. The people of Uri, whose symbol is a powerful black bull's head on a bright yellow background, outfit them in matching black and yellow regalia. Halberdiers march alongside pikemen in tightly formed groups, guarding their vulnerable flanks as they move forward. The Swiss voulge, also known as the halberd, has evolved over time from earlier polearms, becoming broader and more suited for hacking with a sharp point on top for thrusting. They've even added a grappling hook to the back of the weapon, which was later modified to resemble its current design. This model is primarily a collaboration between the mod team's own work and some additional assets borrowed from the OSP pack developed specifically for Mount & Blade Warband.
