SWISS INFANTRY: a set of Swiss Infantry Soldiers during World War 2. SET A : calm poses The soldiers are lightly kitted, being on border guard, fortress, or garrison duty. The uniform includes a variety of tunics thriftily cut from World War 1 greatcoats, with or without collars, with or without cuffs. Weapons include the K31 rifle, the LMG 25, the MP41/44 SMG and the 1882 revolver. During the war, Switzerland maintained armed neutrality, with skirmishes on its borders and clandestine operations within the country. 3 civilians are thus included in the set as refugees, spies or agents. The figures are in “native” 1/72 scale, but can be printed in other scales, 1/87 for railroad dioramas, 1/48 for aircraft dioramas, 1/56 for war gaming or RPG and others. I am confident that you will be able to print the figures at your scale of choice, especially if you have developed habits for your favorite scale. The painted samples were printed in resin on an Anycubic Photon with default settings. The figures must be printed in resin for best detail. Please be careful when removing supports, the rifles, bayonets, rifle straps or dog leashes are fragile. Should you accidentally break them, replace them with a strip of paper or flattened stretched sprue! Please study the figures well. At 1/35 or 1/32 scale, the figures can be successfully printed in PLA with tree supports recommended. The set includes figures without bases AND with bases, for your convenience as a diorama builder or a tabletop gamer. There is also a (compressed) file with the pre-supported complete set of based figures in 1/72 scale on a single build-plate. Although this file was tested to produce the painted samples of figures, I cannot guarantee a 100% successful print when using this single file, and I recommend that you choose your own supports for the figures. Try orienting figures with the rifle going up, watch out for helmet rims, elbows, suitcase and bag corners! Complete your set with scenery of a border check-point, a train station, an impregnable mountain pillbox, or a Me-109 in bright Swiss markings! Thanks for downloading, I hope you enjoy the figures! Edit: extra files to correct wrong sided buttons on civilian figure (mirrored files). Pre-supported file not edited.
