Swingline Electric Stapler Gear Key
myminifactory
My workspace at the office has a faulty electric stapler that periodically gets jammed, just like any regular stapler. To clear out the blockage, a built-in clockwork key is used to manually push the mechanism forward. Unfortunately, I lost the key and the manufacturer, Swingline, doesn't provide replacement parts. Buying a new stapler would cost around $200 USD. So, I decided to reverse-engineer a different key for this specific model to create a functional replacement. This solution was designed for the 520e stapler but should also work with its replacement models, 50201 and 50204. Since this part is entirely functional, it's not eligible for patenting, so I'm releasing it into the public domain.
