Swing frame folding knife
thingiverse
I crafted a custom folding mechanism for my stainless steel blade. I've successfully printed out both steel and plastic versions of the knife. My innovative folding mechanism is quite exceptional - it's remarkably simple and rugged. Check out an animation that shows off its clever design (https://youtu.be/2RWEbohZ_Mg). This impressive knife can be 3D printed without needing any additional support structures, but I do strongly recommend adding some to the pins of the blade for added stability. To help you achieve this, I've included a copy of the OpenSCAD source code. I hope you enjoy printing and experimenting with this unique knife! **Printing Details** Printer Brand: RepRap Printer Model: Prusa i3 Use Rafts: No Supports Required: Yes Layer Resolution: 0.2mm Infill Density: 50%
