After the second dive toy was sucked through the skimmer in to the pump, I decided to print a simple grid that sits in the skimmer box and will prevent anything larger than 0.5"x0.5" form passing through. Grid measures 4.5" x 4" and was designed to fit in the skimmer box of a SwimEx 500. These have a mini skimmer without a basket unlike normal full sized skimmers so anything that enters is at risk of being sucked into the 1.5" suction pipe. Printed solid to discourage floating.
