Swiffer Wet Jet Handle Replacement

This is a replacement handle designed specifically for the Swiffer Wetjet. The new handle is right-handed, but I'm confident that translating both parts would result in a working left-handed version. I created this model with the intention of producing a fast-printing and resource-light handle replacement. This model uses less than 100g of PLA to minimize waste. Printed using PLA, I reinforced the final version with epoxy because the small screw recesses tend to snap off easily. I wanted the new handle to last longer. While there's room for improvement in this design, the measurements for bolt holes and electronic placement are accurate. Future improvements include: * Adding knurling to the handle * Implementing a snap-fit design * Replacing screw recesses with locking connectors Print Settings: Printer: I3 Clone Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.02 Notes: * The best results were achieved by printing as concave. * The "Otherside" printed best with a raft. * The "Buttonside" can be printed without a raft, but additional post-processing is required. * The "Button" requires support, but a raft is not necessary. Issues: Due to the long and slender design of these objects, they have a tendency to warp and lift. To mitigate this issue, I used additional cooling, printed as a concave shape, calibrated my printbed properly, and printed on bias tape to prevent warping and lifting. Post-Printing: Construction: * Designed to use original screws * Best results achieved when using glue or epoxy if PLA is used, as screw terminals tend to rip out easily. * Electronics pop into place with the button on the switch centered when installed correctly. Notes for improvement: * The lip of "Otherside" could be reduced to improve fit. Light sanding worked fine for me.
