Sweepy Marble Run 1
thingiverse
This is a marble run I made in Solidworks as a school assignment. It was an exercise in painful lofting and sweeping that was very satisfying but not something I'd wish upon a friend. It consists of two paths. Each path starts at a uniquely styled tower on opposite sides of the run, but both end in the same place. I'm taking my liberties as an artist to claim this holds some subtle meaning for someone to figure out. I have confirmed that the original size doesn't work with 15mm marbles nor a 200mm print bed as originally planned, so I am including a smaller version for 9mm steel bearings and a larger version for 15mm marbles. I have also updated the path elevations and banking for 1.1 so the marbles shouldn't fly off or get stuck. Enjoy, and happy printing! — Kevin EDIT: I have changed the path elevations one final time (1.2), and confirmed that, at least for the 9mm version, marbles make it down both paths a majority of the time.
