I had to create a scale model of a house so I figured it was best to build one myself. The house in question is the very one where I grew up and still where my parents live. To start, I looked up the original drawings (which are indeed over 100 years old) of the house where I spent my formative years, scanned them, and used them as reference to sketch out the model on CAD software. While keeping things simple was crucial, I wanted to maintain a certain level of detail nonetheless. My scale model sits at 1:87 (matching some models trains in size), just because it felt fitting to get everything down exactly right.
