Swedish house, model (1:87, OpenRailway)
thingiverse
I was in dire need of a scale model of a house so I set out to create one on my own. What better option could there be? This house is where I grew up and, amazingly enough, my parents still call it home. I went back in time, digging up the original drawings (which, astonishingly, are over 100 years old) from the very house that holds so many cherished memories for me. After carefully scanning them, I used the images to craft the model in CAD with great precision and accuracy. My goal was to keep the design straightforward while still maintaining a certain level of intricate detail. The model stands at an impressive 1:87 scale (mirroring the precision found in some of the world's finest model trains).
