Swappable hot end with CR-10 FANG OEM fan duct
thingiverse
I was planning to create a remix of the 3D model found on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2763931, but I discovered that no modification was necessary when combined with the swappable hot end from Thingiverse's https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3547740. The designer who created this project deserves credit for their work as I simply integrated it into my existing swappable hot end setup. The carriage plate is not required since I added a mount to the swappable hot end holder, and printed only the duct and fang components. My main hot end is the Micro Swiss, which I wanted to use primarily with nylon filament. To accomplish this, I created a swappable hot end specifically designed for it, allowing me to retain my stock hot end for printing PLA and PETG. I also added some fans and a thermistor, soldering all components according to the provided schematics in the swappable hot end design. A spare heater element was used, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a 24V version that didn't reach the desired temperature. I managed to capture images of my project despite not being able to conduct thorough testing.
