Swan Fountain/Hattyús kút
sketchfab
The legend goes that a professor told his struggling student he'd only pass the exam if the stone swan grew feathers. Thanks to his clever classmates, come morning, the swan was donning a coat of feathers! The bird was carved from Sankt Margarethen stone in 1917 and originally stood on Orsolya Square. Today, "feathering the swan" is a ritual at Valediction (student farewell evening), dating back to an old student superstition. You can find it in Sopron, outside the University Club where Hunyadi János Street meets Béke Street.
