Needed a simple swag handout for a convention booth quickly. Found a similar paper clip design that I liked, but wanted to add the name of the website (K12IRC.org) easily. With OpenSCAD, was able to write a script that duplicated the clip and allowed me to specify all dimensions as parameters. This enabled quick adjustments to the size and shape of the clip to better fit the text or logo perfectly. While could use the text capabilities built onto OpenSCAD, creating a black-and-white .png image file gave much better control over character size and spacing, and allows you to include simple logos easily. Rename the black and white K12IRC image as "SPC_text.png" and save it in the same directory as "Swag Paper Clip.scad". Then update the .png file with your text, name or logo, and adjust the .scad script parameters as needed to fit the "text" into the clip seamlessly. Make sure your SPC_text.png image is just black & white. The clips are printed upside down so that when viewed, the smooth side is face up naturally. I printed the clips 1 mm thick and used 0.3 mm layers, making for a very fast print efficiently. Smaller layer sizes may help improve the resolution of the print, but will increase the print time significantly.
