SW Equinox ED80 focus motor connector

SW Equinox ED80 focus motor connector

thingiverse

This simple design will directly connect a focus stepper motor (specifically, a NEMA 14 19:1 geared motor) to a SkyWatcher Equinox ED80 pro telescope to automate focusing. It also requires a flexible drive coupler as shown, which can be printed or made from aluminium if preferred. To assemble the system, loosen one screw and remove the focus knob, attach the motor to the connector using four 3mm machine screws, push the motor bracket onto the focuser housing (refer to images), and secure it in place with a single 4mm screw. The tapped hole on the scope is already prepared for this purpose. Print Settings Printer: Wanhao 4S Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 35 Notes: You may need to generate supports, depending on your printer's capabilities at bridging; I did so anyway. Print the design vertically with the scalloped end facing up.
