The freshly minted Y-Wing emerges from the assembly line, its armor still intact. Rebel mechanics, worn out by the tedious process of constantly detaching and reattaching it, opted to leave the armor in place (a fascinating backstory revealed through a cross-section book). To ensure seamless integration with my X-Wing models, I scale the Y-Wing down to 1:270. Two versions are available - Version 1 without the peg-pin and Version 2 featuring the peg-pin.
