Attach the existing bearing spool roller to an existing shelf with this clamp. STL's come in 3 shelf thickness options but I'm providing the FreeCAD design in case you need to create a custom design for a non standard shelf thickness. The screenshot explains where the parameter can be edited. 2-7-24: Reuploaded FreeCAD and STL files for the clamp to fix missing screw hole.To print: place it on its side in the slicer; print in PETG, ABS or ASA because PLA has a tendency to flow under stress and will become loose and bent in time. Print in 4-5 perimeters (walls) with a decent amount of rectilinear infill, 25-35%, to ensure both rigidity and some elasticity. Make sure you properly correct for elephant foot so you don't scratch the finish on the shelf. PLan for ~0.2-0.3 mm clearance if your printer overextrudes. It's best to print a small test composed of 3-4 layers to check if there's enough clearance. I'm providing also a 2 mm hex shim in case you find that the roller can't move after you tighten the screws at both ends. Both an STL and the FreeCAD design for the shim are included.
