The existing motor brackets didn't work with the Sovol SV05 tower extrusions (they are flat on the outside face). I also found that I was having warping trouble when printing the existing motor mounts with Hatchbox White ABS and an enclosure (Hatchbox ABS is great filament btw). The warping was minimal, but I wanted to see if I could eliminate it using some clever part design. After printing, I would say I was successful. They are dead flat! Features and Print Settings: New Features:-These brackets are compatible with both the Ender 5 (I believe all variations) as well as the Sovol SV05 (which has some unique tower extrusions).-They use less filament than the original (about a 15 gram difference).-They use fewer fasteners (3 per piece rather than 4) to connect them to the frame.-Built-in "mouse ears" on the three sharp corners around the bottom of the print to increase bed adhesion and help prevent corner lift while printing.MOST IMPORTANTLY!-They have some cool-looking cutouts! These serve a few functional purposes beyond filament reduction. They reduce warping by shortening the length of layers as the print rises from the bed. This means any contraction forces in the horizontal direction will be decreased and your part will be less likely to pull away from the bed. The parts print a little faster than the originals (about a 20-minute savings with my settings). The open webbing allows air to flow around the motors to help them passively cool better. They are still strong as hell! Print Settings-They are oriented to print in the manner they appear on the build plate.-Enable supports with the following CURA or slicer settings: touching build plate, 80-degree overhang. Don't use tree-type supports. Supports should only be generated for the two M5 holes facing the build plate.-Speed 50mm/second with 10mm/second first layer and skirt speed (this worked for me, but you can play with it).-No fan-Hotend at 240C and Bed at 100C printed in an enclosure-5 top and bottom layers and 4 perimeters-.4mm nozzel and .2mm layer height Post Processing-Clip off mouse ears (I use a large disk sander and take them off that way, but you could just as easily use flush cutters).-Break the two supports off under the M5 holes that will be on the top of the part when installed.
