Suzuki Method Practice Dice
thingiverse
A pair of dice helps beginners learn music with the Suzuki Method. One die features different "Suzuki Rhythms" that can be played with Twinkle, where the star represents playing the twinkle theme or re-rolling if the student is not yet ready. My son enjoys the element of chance in our practice sessions to see whether he will get an easy or hard rhythm. The other die is a 6-sided die numbered from 3 to 8. We use it sometimes to determine how many times he must run various drills or elements of songs we need to work on. He likes the random element as a way to keep practice interesting, and I like it because he accepts practicing the same thing five times in a row more readily when the die tells him to do so rather than me asking him to.
