After a couple of dives I found out that I hate the watch type strap on my compass. OpenSCAD to the rescue! :-)

The mount is designed for 3mm bungee and lets you put it on while loose and pull the cord from the back to front to tighten it.

Printed using PETG, 0.2mm layer height, 3 perimeters, 5 bottom and 5 top layers (to make the lid solid). I printed the body and the lid separately to minimize stringing on travels between parts.

Use pliers to break off the integrated support, there are two missing layers under and above so it should be quite easy.

It takes a little persuading to get the cord through the holes. It helps to create a tip by unravelling a centimeter or so of the cord, snipping out the rubber from inside and twisting the rest.

I use figure eight knot at the ends, unravel a centimeter or so of the cord, snip out the rubber and melt the end using a lighter all the way to the knot.
