Sutherland Chair
sketchfab
A humble yet sturdy wooden chair, crafted by a local house carpenter from sustainably sourced bogwood. Two carefully selected pieces of wood form a natural right angle at its sides, while the back and seat are securely connected by robust wooden spars. These chairs were intentionally designed to be low-slung, placing the sitter below the thick haze of peat smoke that fills the air. A testament to the region's early 19th-century craftsmanship.
