SuShSh - Camera Sun & Shit Shield
thingiverse
I use this nifty device when my camera is mounted on a tripod and controlled remotely via Wi-Fi. It safeguards my camera from sunlight (heat), bird droppings, and unexpected raindrops. You can utilize any type of thin plastic or cardboard (1mm to 1.5mm) to insert and position it as needed. The shield fits snugly into the standard flash socket. A slideable mount allows me to locate the camera's center or adjust the shield to the right, providing enough space to access the camera controls with my right hand. In addition, I only need an M4 screw and M4 nut to get started.
