When grabbing lunch with colleagues at the Thai restaurant across the street, we spotted this really old-looking bronze bust (above). We checked it out for a bit and started thinking about some things related to it. Specifically, we remembered all those historical heritage destruction events caused by Islamic fundamentalists in Iraq and the Middle East back then. It had everyone fired up around the table. In response, we took a positive stance on what was happening, using combined modern technology to help. We decided to turn something negative into something positive. First, we wanted to show that where there's a will to destroy, there's also an equal will to rebuild. We hoped this project could serve as a clear example of technological progress and be an optimistic reminder.
