Surveillance Sanitizer Caps

Here are the instructions for creating Surveillance Sanitizer art pieces using 3D printable parts. To build my Surveillance Sanitizer art pieces, I designed a set of 3D printed parts to fit together seamlessly. For the outer cap, use purple PLA and print it with supports facing upwards. This will make it much easier to remove them once they're finished. The logo on top should be clearly visible, so feel free to rotate your part while printing if needed. The openSCAD file for this design is included in my code repository. Please note that the Tails logo is GPL licensed, which means anyone who uses this STL file also has to follow these rules. Next up, we have the inner cap printed from white PLA. The top of it faces downwards, and the USB drive slot's steep angle makes it easy to print without any support material needed. You can use Tinkercad to make this part if you prefer: https://tinkercad.com/things/iiqidDmaJLK. Now let's talk about materials! Rubber o-rings are essential for creating a seal on the inner cap. You can buy them at McMaster Carr (part #9452K26): http://www.mcmaster.com/#9452K26. Make sure they fit snugly around the neck of your bottle. I used Walgreens brand hand sanitizer bottles for my art pieces, but other brands like Target's store brand should work too. When installing the USB drive into the slot, make sure it fits tightly so that any evaporation can be minimized. If you want extra protection against future wear and tear, try using some Loctite glue (http://www.loctiteproducts.com/p/sg_plstc/overview/Loctite-Plastics-Bonding-System.htm) to secure the USB drive in place. When assembling your inner caps, remember that they are designed to fit tightly onto the bottle neck. Apply a little bit of glue - like Gorilla Glue, but not too much since it can expand while curing and cause tension between the cap and bottle! To avoid this problem altogether, consider using something like Loctite's Plastic Epoxy Bonder: http://www.loctiteproducts.com/p/13/7/epxy_plstc_s/overview/Loctite-Epoxy-Plastic-Bonder.htm instead.
