I'm an Industrial Designer based in Saint Louis, and as the Covid-19 outbreak spread rapidly I seized the opportunity to use my skills to make a difference. My wife, an RN, had seen similar products online that sparked her idea, which is where this project began - with me producing large quantities of the full-size version found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4249113. I've already supplied six facilities across two states and there's still a significant need out there! My home state has recently implemented a new rule requiring anyone over the age of two to wear masks in public starting May 1st, which prompted me to design a version tailored specifically for children with my nephew in mind. By sharing this design, I hope to provide a solution for individuals and communities looking to help their areas during this challenging time.
