Added my design for a basic surgical mask seal. Step 1: Print in PLA Step 2: Heat up with a fan or over an open flame, or even the heat bed of your 3D printer. Step 3: Place the surgical mask on and mold it to fit your face shape. Step 4: Add straps and place the cover over the surgical mask. A very important notice! Be extremely careful not to burn your face. Use the mask as a protective layer between the PLA and your skin. Take each step carefully, so you can determine what temperature is safe for molding. Test it on your hand before applying it to your face. It's simpler than it seems. PLA is moldable at very low temperatures. This design is not a medical device. It has undergone empirical testing but lacks certification. However, if you take the time to shape the mold carefully, you will notice a significant difference. It may not be perfect, but it is clearly better than wearing just the mask alone.
