Surgical mask clip
thingiverse
I designed a clip for surgical masks that's easy and fast to use, making it simple to fix your mask on the go. You can also use this clip with community masks, giving you more flexibility. Surgical masks should be worn with the colored side facing outwards. Be sure to check the manufacturer's instructions for detailed information about how to properly wear and care for your mask. This is a fantastic "ready to hand" solution that's perfect for everyday use. Don't forget to print it and keep it in your bag for easy access! It can be challenging to create a smooth, waterproof surface with FDM-printers. To achieve the best results, use your printer's optimal settings to produce gapless surfaces. Some of the available masks may not be as robust as they should be. It can be frustrating when you put on your mask and the strap breaks just as you're about to enter a store. However, carrying one or two of these clips with you can make all the difference. I've already created a design for surgical masks and have printed some clips using my 3D printer. With a few minor adjustments, this design can also be used for community masks. I'm even planning to create individual silicone straps. This is especially useful if you or a family member makes masks or needs a convenient way to fix their mask in place. Even if you're using more affordable masks, these clips are definitely worth considering. If you're interested in getting some clips or know someone who might be, feel free to reach out. Sharing this design with others is also encouraged. Update: 03/05/2020 - Change (V2) I've updated the size of the clip to a new ratio of 1:1.
