Surfing Styled Hook to Hang a Hat or Sweater
thingiverse
I designed a clever solution to hang my hat/hats from my closet door. It can also hold sweatshirts, belts, or whatever you like within reason. You get to decide how many links you want to print depending on how far down you want it to hang. Update: My door is 34mm wide, but if yours is different, you can try scaling the part door_clip, or I'd be happy to upload alternative versions to fit different width doors (just comment or message me with a specific dimension). Print Settings: Resolution: 0.22 Infill: 24% Notes: You have two orientation options for printing the parts as shown in the pictures - I chose option 1, but if you want to hang heavier things, use option 2 and increase the number of perimeters in your slicing settings. Post-Printing: After printing, assemble the pieces by using raw 1.75mm filament to create the pins for the hinges. You can glue them in place or use a hot object (like a hot glue gun or your extruder on low heat) to mushroom the ends so they won't fall out. I also wrapped some string around the top of the hook piece. If the holes need cleaning up, use a 5/64'' drill bit.
