Blender models are sculpted into being, starting from scratch, with each detail carefully crafted by hand. Polygons are kept to a minimum, allowing for rapid rendering and ease of use. Textures are then baked onto the model, bringing it to life with subtle nuances. Most textures in Blender are handled with finesse, but Photoshop is used to fine-tune any imperfections. The challenge lies in working with baked normals, as they can sometimes clash with a more serious texture, leading to an unbalanced look. Hand-painted textures, on the other hand, come naturally, requiring minimal effort and expertise. My first attempt at creating low poly hair was a humbling experience, as it proved to be far more complex than anticipated, leaving me in stitches.
