Surfboard Handles

Surfboard Handles

thingiverse

These are a few surfboard handles that I created so I could make my surfboards easier to carry. They need to be glassed into the surfboard, included are a router jigs and a base plate for a Makita trim router (1/2" & 3/8" straight bit). I did include two additional versions for the router bases with smaller diameter bushings as different 3D printers have different tolerances so try them all out and see what works best for your set up. They can also work for a SUP and I am modeling a large SUP handle as well that will be posted separately. Check out my website and youtube channel where I have all kinds of surfing related content and specific installation instructions. If you found these handles I'm assuming that you can probably figure out how to install these as you probably make surfboards. https://www.geckosurfboards.com/surfboard-building-router-jigs/ https://www.youtube.com/c/AndrewWorkshop I have printed these in ASA and PETG, I recommend PETG as it's easier to print and warps less. They both have a good amount of UV resistance and toughness. PLA would work but I doubt it would hold up over the years, plus glue doesn't love to stick to PLA as well as ASA and PETG. Be sure to sand with rough sand paper before installation. Print @ 100% infill, supports and whatever layer height you want. Also note, I know it's named a square SUP handle for some of the files, I meant to write rectangle but I'm too lazy to change it now.
