Surfboard Fins: Longboard Trailer Fin
thingiverse
The center trailing fin requires 1/8" or 3mm material; cut two of the provided design, then glue them together. Set red for vector cutting and black for raster engraving at full power, slow speed. A 60-watt universal laser cutter with settings at 100% power, 1.5% speed, and 1000 ppi works well for 1/4" birch plywood. After sanding and possibly applying epoxy or polyester resin, you can create your own surf fins. Installation involves drilling two holes for a 3/4" long bar and set screw; however, I have not yet installed a completed fin in a box.
