Surface Test: Temp Calibration Stairs (Customizable)
thingiverse
Test various temperatures on the top surface for niceness. After creating my calibration tower version, I realized that much of the code could be reused to make other box-based calibrations. The tower only tests edge surfaces and minor overhangs. This was initially designed to test surface quality, particularly since the filament we received had issues with consistency. Disclaimer: The photographs shown are printed from a Tinkercad model I created, not this one, but they share the same dimensions and concept. That model encountered problems with the slicer failing to recognize flat surfaces, yet it still served as a useful test. The photos demonstrate how the thin side is designed to be slender enough that it could be bent or broken off for easier inspection of overhangs. To further illustrate 3D printing's coolness, I plan to extend this out in a spiral.
