Surface Pro Mini Fan Mount (40mm)

This is a 40mm fan mount designed specifically for an extra cooling fan on the Surface Pro. The mount securely clips over the back of the Surface Pro, providing vital extra cooling that significantly improves performance. I personally use mine on a Surface Pro 7 i5, but it should also work seamlessly on at least the Surface Pro 4 through 6 models. I opted for a Noctua NF-A4x10-5V-PWM fan, which comes with a convenient USB adapter and can be easily plugged into the Surface's USB port. Other 40mm fans will likely fit just as well. To attach the fan, you'll need 4 standard fan screws. The holes are thoughtfully countersunk for the fan screws included with the Noctua fan, making installation a breeze. My overall power limit has increased from around 10W to approximately 17W, resulting in a noticeable boost in performance. This design was created using FreeCad and is loosely based on skiiermike's fan mount (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1710600). Most aspects of the design are parametric, allowing for easy adaptation to different fan sizes.
