Surface Pro External Fan

This is an external cooling fan designed specifically for fanless Surface Pros. Despite being more of a makeshift solution than I initially envisioned, I'm hoping someone might find inspiration in my creation. As an avid gamer who likes to play on the go with my Surface Pro, I've encountered some issues with overheating and throttling when playing demanding games like Dirt Rally. To address this problem, I came up with a compact, portable solution that fits seamlessly into my travel plans. By incorporating this fan, I was able to boost my fps from around 55 to 70, significantly reducing the stress on my Surface Pro. The cooling fan itself is relatively quiet and energy-efficient, drawing power from the USB port. A 50x15mm blower fan provides a reliable airflow solution, while an integrated USB plug makes it easy to connect the fan directly to the Surface without any additional cables. I salvaged the USB plug from an old cable and modified it to fit my needs by stripping away excess material and soldering new wires onto the metal core. A small 8.5x13.5mm rocker switch allows me to easily control the fan's power, giving me more flexibility in terms of usage. After testing this setup on both Surface Pro 4 and 7 models, I'm confident that it should work for all devices within that range.
