# Motivation and Design I wanted to create a way to make my Surface Pro 4 usable at my desk without having to ink. This vertical stand allows the standard surface pro charger to fit perfectly in place. A USB hub like the one by Anker works well for this purpose, providing extra ports when needed. I secured the charger and hub in place with hot glue so that my Surface Pro 4 can slide in easily and stay connected. The design also includes a cutout for the mini display port connector. # Notes * My Surface is held securely in place by friction fit, but the magnesium alloy finish may get scuffed up over time. * Even with 100% infill printing, my docked Surface Pro 4 becomes top-heavy and is prone to tipping when placed on a surface. * This was my first functional design project ever, so I'm proud of what I've accomplished. The Fusion 360 file may be messy, but it gets the job done. # Renders and Credit * Salvo Bertolami designed the SP4 model used in the renders, which can be downloaded from GrabCAD. * Renders were created using Fusion 360.
