A versatile device designed specifically for testing surface mount LEDs is required. Instructions Utilizing the following Digikey components: 3319P-1-471-ND, CWI333-ND, C4SMF-BJS-CR0U0452CT-ND. The LED used here is oval-shaped rather than round; thus the hole in the electronics cover matches its irregular shape. This particular LED was too bright and should be avoided; instead drill a circular hole or modify the existing file accordingly. To assemble this testing device, additional components are needed: Copper tape, Two #2 safety pins, Strip (or perf) board, Three CR2032 button cell batteries, A suitable resistor for your chosen LED, Wire.
