90-Degree Surface Mount Hinge Version 2 *** Just download one Articulating Hinge File, the "reductionofOverhang" version is designed for printing in a more compact state *** This concealed hinge offers full overlay and opens up to approximately 100 Degree Angle The hinge provides a seamless look to the door when closed I printed the hinges at 30 mm/s, but I haven't experimented with higher speeds yet Wall Line Count: 3 (anything less will make the hinge weaker) Top Layers: 3 Bottom Layers: 3 A single hinge can support up to 10lbs @ 4" away from the base of the hinge I haven't tested heavier weights, so do so at your own risk You can see my test videos on Instagram Check out my Instagram account 3dprintingwithaustin for more information Make sure to use 2-3 hinges when mounting doors to eliminate deflection and ensure proper closure Take a look at the attached photo for installation orientation I used pieces of filament as pins to connect the two bases, and it works perfectly fine If enough people want to use actual metal pins, I can include a model that incorporates them The base uses 8 x 4mm screws Future updates may include a self-closing function that can be printed
