To assess surface finish, I print the challenging shape on top of Wizard's jewelry box as it reveals difficulties without consuming much time. I found better Skeinforge settings for my Cupcake CNC with Mk5 plastruder by following sideburn's tips (http://tinyurl.com/23dxxyb). The optimal settings are: layer thickness of .35, width-to-thickness ratio of 1.7, speed feedrate of 30, and flowrate of 230. These enhance the surface finish while ensuring adhesion between layers. However, these may vary for different bots/extruders despite identical equipment.
