Supportless Pen

Supportless Pen

It has a robust and compact shape, yet it's incredibly resilient. The design allows for effortless printing in a horizontal position, which significantly enhances the pen's overall strength. However, your slicing software may still detect minor supports; but rest assured, you can easily print this model without any added features. When handling the pen, be cautious not to let it shift from its bed, as this will compromise the alignment of the pen head. If the pen body isn't securely attached, the entire assembly won't function correctly. The front bottom sides of the pen heads appear slightly elongated due to the nozzle's influence, giving them a faintly uneven appearance that might resemble a small crack. But don't worry; this aesthetic quirk doesn't impact performance in any way. Ultimately, successful pen design hinges on achieving a perfect balance between precision and structural integrity. I've had my share of trial runs in the past, but previous attempts fell short of my expectations, prompting me to put this project on hold for several months. After re-examining the design and making some key adjustments, I'm now confident enough to share it with you. To bring your pen to life, all you'll need is a rollerball pen refill.
