Supportless Kazoo
thingiverse
A similar print, sans support material, is available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:17455. This version features an extra part and stands 94mm high (slightly shorter than the original due to printing limitations). Two membrane holder sizes are included; the smaller one works well while the larger one, intended for a 30mm diameter membrane, prints successfully and performs better due to increased membrane surface area. Lower frequencies seem optimal with this design. Clear PLA is showcased in the photo alongside the smaller membrane housing, while other designs by the creator can be viewed at http://www.thingiverse.com/elk/things. Follow these steps for assembly: 1) Print the body and a chosen membrane holder (parts 'valve inner' and 'valve outer' for a ~20mm membrane, or '30mm dose', '30mm membranhalter', and 'snuffelstucke' for a ~30mm version). 2) Smooth any burrs or ooze. 3) Insert a wax-paper membrane. 4) Enjoy humming, but not too loudly near your girlfriend to avoid hazardous situations!
