I'm modifying a project found online designed for marbles to play with, featuring glass balls 16 mm in diameter (https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/marble-lazy-susan-bearing-no-hardware-required). Mouse balls, measuring 22 mm in diameter, are solid and rubber-coated, making them very comfortable. Scaling up by a factor of 1.375 adjusts the dimensions accordingly. I've created a support for a plate or cup, and modified the top portion to stabilize it laterally, while leaving the bottom section to be placed, everything clips together.
