Support Test

A Quick Test for Support Settings A quick test to see if your support settings are up to par. This tests supports against a simple flat 90-degree angle roof and floor. Creates supports for a 90-degree angle roof that touches the floor of the model so you can test the quality of the underside of the roof and the top of the floor after you remove the supports. Tips: - If supports are too hard to remove, lower your support infill and/or increase your Z-Gap/Z-Distance. - If the roof is drooping or has low quality, increase support infill and/or lower your Z-Gap/Z-Distance. - If the roof droops in the back, lower your X/Y distance. - If it isn't too hard to remove, but quality still isn't good, try printing the support with a roof/floor. I know Cura can do this; I'm not sure about other slicers. Includes two boxes that are 40L x 20W x 20H in mm. The 1mm variant has thinner walls, ceilings, and roofs than the 3mm one, so take your pick. The 3mm is the stronger option, making it less likely to break when trying to remove supports. Take a chance to experiment with your support settings and find what works best for you! If this helps, please post your printer and support settings in the comments!
