Support for cooling fan - Nema17 (extruder) Anycubic or any...
thingiverse
The Titan extruder's Nema17 motor can reach extremely high temperatures, especially during ABS prints and with inadequate enclosures. To mitigate this issue, I opted for a small cooling fan that required a custom duct & mounting support design. To create the necessary airflow pathway, I devised a quick solution involving a duct/mount combination that effectively cools the extruder while also accommodating its limited clearance. This setup can be easily adapted to fit the i3 Mega extruder's more compact profile, which has only 6mm of space available for mounting brackets. For powering the fan, I repurposed the existing power lead typically used by the stepper drivers' fan, taking advantage of the fact that it's only energized when the steppers are in operation. By installing a Y-split and an extension cable, I was able to easily connect the fan to this convenient power source.
