A Support Foot for Routers: A Practical Solution for Height Adjustment. When routing by hand, a support foot can be used to level out uneven surfaces, preventing the router from tilting. This is especially useful when working with Makita Router RT0700 plunge bases, which can be directly secured in the guide holder using this foot. For other brands of routers, you will need an adapter or holder that can be found on Thingiverse under the product number 3413835. Secure the support foot to the guide holder using a hex screw (M6) or a lock screw accompanied by a wing nut. When designing in your customizer, set the head diameter parameter to 10mm for standard metric hex screws or 12mm if you're using the black lock screw that comes with the Makita router. To ensure accurate cut-outs, my i3 Mega printer consistently prints 0.4mm undersized, so I've added a 0.4mm offset to both the head and screw diameters in this design. You can adjust this offset according to your printer's precision settings. Recent updates include: * Making the head diameter directly adjustable to accommodate hex and lock screws * Adding a base to the support foot for enhanced stability
